Dr. Denny Johnson has been creating beautiful smiles for Columbus, OH orthodontic patients in the Upper Arlington, Dublin, Hilliard, Grandview, Worthington, Northwest Columbus, and Wyandot County communities for over 25 years. His oldest daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Johnson, also an orthodontist, joined the practice in May 2016. At our office, Drs. Johnson and their team make every effort to address individual needs with very personalized care. We treat all patients the way we would want our loved ones treated – with the highest standards of care. A beautiful smile can help open doors throughout your life, as well as provide good function.

Education and Experience
Dr. Denny Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toledo. His major was in chemistry, and the degree was fulfilled by doing a chemistry research project at UCLA. Dr. Johnson’s Doctorate of Dental Surgery was completed at the Ohio State University. He practiced general dentistry for more than 13 years, while gaining valuable experience in all forms of general dentistry.
Returning to the Ohio State University, Dr. Johnson completed his Master of Science degree as well as his Clinical Certification in the Specialty of Orthodontics in 1985. Since then he has served on the faculty at the Ohio State University College of Dentistry as a clinical assistant professor in the section of graduate orthodontics, teaching biomechanics and serving as clinic consultant in the graduate clinic.

Education and Experience
Dr. Elizabeth Johnson is a 1997 graduate of Upper Arlington High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology in 2001 from Miami University. After a one year Americorps service internship in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, she completed her DDS degree at the Ohio State University. In 2002, over typodonts and textbooks, Dr. Liz met Steve, her husband to be. After graduation, they moved to Steve's hometown of Cincinnati, OH, where they practiced general dentistry for 7 years. During this time they expanded their family with a dog, Nemo, and two identical twin boys, Calvin and Eli. Calvin and Eli are in the third grade and, as you can imagine, bring a abundance of fun and spontaneity to their lives.
In pursuit of her ultimate goal, Dr. Liz then completed her Master of Science degree as well as her Clinical Certification in the Specialty of Orthodontics in 2016 from OSU. She spends time at both office locations of Johnson Orthodontics, as well as working part-time as a orthodontist at Sunbury Plaza Dental in Westerville, OH and in the Craniofacial Clinic at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Practice Manager
I am responsible for coordinating all aspects of our offices, and have been scheduling appointments and putting together financial arrangements since 1986. I love the constant change of new technology and techniques used to provide better care for our patients. In the end, it’s all about the joy we get from seeing their beautiful smiles!
Treatment Coordinator, Upper Sandusky Office
I love everything about my job, especially knowing that I get to make a positive difference in our patients’ lives through helping them achieve a beautiful, healthy smile. My favorite part of my job is the interaction with the patients and getting to know them on a personal level. I enjoy working with our team because we are like pieces to a puzzle where we each have unique talents, but put together, we make a complete picture.
